Nursing Liaisons was founded after seeing first-hand how easy it is for patients and families to get lost in our complicated health system. We believe that if we have the privilege of taking care of you, it will be like “Having A Nurse in The Family”.
Meet our founders
Eleanor Ericson, RN
Eleanor B. Ericson R.N. B.S.N. “Ellie”, is the co-founder of Nursing Liaisons Inc. After decades of working as a Registered Nurse and seeing countless patients and families struggle to navigate the healthcare system, Nursing Liaisons Inc. was founded. The goal of Nursing Liaisons is to ensure that patients experience the compassionate, experienced care that a Registered Nurse can provide, “like having a nurse in the family.”
Ellie is a graduate of Mount Auburn Hospital School of Nursing, and Worcester State College with a B.S.N. in Nursing. She also has completed Certificate Programs from John’s Hopkins in Guided Care, Transitional Care Management from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as Geriatric Care Management from Kaplan University. Ellie holds certifications as a Health Coach and is Certified in Care Coordination and Transitional Management.
Over the course of her career, Ellie has seen first-hand, the innumerable ways that nurses can positively impact lives. Nursing Liaisons was founded to empower patients and their families and to guide them through the best health experience possible!
Lisa Hyde-Barrett, RN
Lisa Barrett is a registered nurse of over 30 years. As Co-Founder of Nursing Liaisons, Inc., with an extensive thoracic nursing background, she skillfully co-created and implemented a transitional care nursing program designed to provide education, information, guidance, resources, and support services to mesothelioma patients post-hospitalization.
Currently working at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, her experience includes thoracic intensive care, interventional radiology, post-anesthesia care, and clinical instruction. She helped lead efforts to establish an agency partnership between Nursing Liaisons, Inc. and Mass General Brigham’s Home Hospital Program, a highly successful collaborative initiative that allows qualifying patients to receive hospital-level specialty services, direct nursing care, and clinical monitoring in home settings.
